Notice to members: Preliminary notice of Annual General Meeting

Under Section 34 - Notice of Meetings within the Club’s Statement of Purpose and Rules, the Secretary Manager is to post a preliminary notice of the forthcoming AGM

Section 34.2.1 - The Place, Date and Time of the AGM

  • Place: Traralgon Bowls Club Bistro Function Room

  • Date: Tuesday 19th November 2024

  • Time: 7pm

Section 34.2.2 The Number of Board members to be elected at the AGM

As listed under Rule 17.2 – Cycle 3 – Year 3 is the grouping due for election at this AGM. The Positions in this cycle are:

  • Vice Chairman currently Ron Baker

  • Ordinary Member (1) currently Vacant

  • Ordinary Member (2) currently William (Bill) Munday

  • Section 34.2.2 How to nominate for election as a Board Member

Under Rule 18.2 – A Board approved form that fulfills all the requirements of all parts of Rule 18.2 will be available with this notice:

  • In the Bowls Noticeboard Area / Breezeway

  • On the Club Website

Completed nominations MUST be returned to the Secretary Manager by 5pm on Tuesday 15 October 2024.

NOTE 1: To be eligible to nominate for these positions the following applies:

Vice Chairman:- Rule 18.7 – nominees for an Executive Board Position must have served in the previous 7 years as an Ordinary Board Member here for a minimum of 24 months prior to nominating.

Ordinary Member:-Rule 18.6- nominees for an Ordinary Board Position must have been a continuous Full Bowls Member here for a minimum of 24 months prior to nominating.

NOTE 2: If the Secretary Manager is unavailable in the nomination return period then the on duty Assistant Manager or Supervisor in Charge may accept your forms on his behalf.

Section 34.2.3 The ability of members to lodge special business for the AGM with the Secretary Manager

Lodgement of any such special business must be received by the Secretary Manager no later than 5pm on Tuesday 22nd October 2024.
